It looks to me like who GM spanked was themselves, in that the new version of this truck is so vastly improved over it's own previous version.
If the article is right about the peak power, that's pretty hokey...they rate the max power at 6800 rpm, which is 300 rpm above redline.
It is a nice looking truck and I'm glad to see them competing in this market segment. Just a darn shame there's no six speed manual. I hate automatics, especially for towing. I know, I am in the minority in that belief.
