Car cover for the truck

I didn't come up with any info on this, but we have a new truck and I would like to put a car cover on it since we don't use it much. Anyone have any decent covers that won't fall apart? I found some sunbrella ones to the tune of ~700$....
  • hello,,
my wife used to work at the Alden Lane Nursery
sorry, she said that is in Livermore
  • Thanks

I'll look into empire, they were on my list.

A temp garage shelter may work, but I swap things around a couple times a year so it may be a bit of work. They seem to be less than a sumbrella car cover though.
  • I had one for my previous 2006 Ram dually CC. Fit like a glove.
Actually I still have it if anybody is interested PM me.

  • I get mine from Empire Covers. I'm very happy with it, and since the truck sits for probably 8 months out of the year it gets a lot of use. And the cost is around $130. Just make sure you sign up for their mailing list before you buy the cover. They constantly send out newsletters with discount coupons. The latest one is for 45 percent off. The one I'm using now was bought over 2 years ago and it's still going strong.
  • I used an older version of the Classic cover by Covercraft(?) from JC Whitney. Worked well for the price and if I recall, I paid somewhere around $100.

You could also look at one of those portable shelters from the big box home improvements centers.
  • I am lucky, my Ram fits in garage. goes wall to wall.
my 2009 has to sit outside until I get it sold. I hear it complaining at night:)
I would like to get a cover for when I travel.

IBcarguy how far up in Northern CA.
    Stockton here
  • I'm with you and have the same problem. My garage isn't big enough for my new Duramax so it has to sit out. My old Suburban baked outside in the sun for several years so I want to protect my new truck from the UVs. For me, a car cover is an option. If you find a good one, please share.
