Assuming the new Ford does put out nearly 500 HP, do you think GM will fold or will they release an even higher figure when their new Duramax is introduced soon?
Only if there is a MAJOR tranny upgrade. The Ally 1000 is at its limits. Chris
Speculation has it the Duramax will be 425 HP and 860 Torque.
People with smaller trailers might be choosing a GM for fuel economy.
Those with very heavy trailers going to Ford.
And those who think if it aint a Cummins it aint Diesel will stick with the Ram.
Or the people that like Ram will stick with Ram. I drove all three this last purchase and still ended up with a Ram. I couldn't find an interior IMO that even come close to my Limited. ;)
Nor could you find a grill or tailgate that comes close to the limited. :p
That really didn't have any bearing on my decision. At first I was going to take the Ram letters off the tailgate and change the grill out to a Big Horn grill but I've been crazy busy since we picked it up. I had a lot of stuff I had to change over from my other truck like hitch and back-up camera yada yada yada.I had to have it ready in two days to go camping that weekend. We have actually grown to like them now so they are going to stay. All I've done to change the appearance is blacked out the taillights, added my own back-up lights, added a hood guard ,wind deflectors and tinted the windows.
