Cargo carrier and tongue weight reduction??????

I'm adding a lightweight cargo carrier to the rear of my travel trailer by having a receiver welded on to the frame. So, the carrier will weigh 28 lbs. (unloaded) and I wouldn't carry more than 200 l...

If you look closely you will notice that the axles are 2/3 the way back from the front (IE tongue)..

Makes it pretty simple to figure out..

If you place 100 lbs on the rear bumper your will remove 1/3 of that weight from the tongue or roughly about 33 lbs..

200 lbs on the rear bumper will remove roughly about 66 lbs.
