- Ron3rdExplorer IIII had a set about 10 years ago and had not problems. They got a lot of bashing on this forum years ago and good reviews on another forum.
- Need-A-VacationExplorerI spoke w/ Carlisle. The 15" RH Radials were indeed rated at 87mph, but due to our govt placing a tariff of 15" tires rated at 87mph they have been lowered to an 81mph speed rating. 16" are rated for 75mph, I think he said the 14" were 87mph but not sure if the rating was lowered like the 15" tires due to the tariff.
- Need-A-VacationExplorerThe only option I found was to go with a 215/75/14 which had a little higher weight rating over the 205. Size is very close so maybe that will fit???
- dodge_guyExplorer III've been running Carlisles for the last 7 years. I replaced my China bombs at 2 years old and less than a thousand miles due to a shifted belt. The first set lasted 5 years and approx 10-11k miles. My replacements were also Carlisles and have been very good. So far I have about 5k miles on this set. I'm running ST225/75/15 load range "E". I have no complaints. The early 2000's had the issues. When they came out with he RH's the issues seemed to have disappeared.
- CalicajunExplorerWent to the Carlisle web site but found no Carlile 10 ply tires, ST205/75R14 tires in 10 ply. Only could find 6 ply "C" rated tires with "N" speed rating. I would love to get a 10 ply tire with at least a "D" rating for my TT. Could you post a link to the tire you are talking about in this post?
- Need-A-VacationExplorerCould be wrong, it I think it was when the RH model was released.
I had read some "interesting" things regarding the older tires, but had a set for 2 yrs on our previous trailer without any issues. And no, we have no intentions of selling our Jayco after 2 yrs if I put a set of Carlisles on it! Lol Seemed to be a pattern there with the last 2 trailers (Yellowstone, then we had a Dutchmen) after getting new tires....
I currently have a call into Carlisle to ask again about the speed rating. I noticed it seems all the tires on Discount are N speed rated. Is it a typo or what??? I will post what I find out! - CamrealExplorerI put 4 of them on my TT over 2 yrs ago and have 10,000+ miles on them. No problems at all. I have read a lot of horror stories and also that they improved construction and quality of the tires about 3 yrs ago.
- Need-A-VacationExplorerWhat model are they? I didn't know Carlisle had an E rated 14" tire.
We had a set of the RH's 215/75/14 and in 2 yrs never had any issues at all. Held pressure very well in between trips and even over the winter they only lost maybe 5psi I think it was.
Also per Discounts website (think it was the discount direct) has them listed as having an "N" speed rating, which is up to 87mph. I emailed Carlisle asking about this, and if ours tires being almost a couple years old also were rated the same. They replied all RH's have that speed rating.
How much does your trailer weigh? And what is the weight rating of the tires?
Should add I am planning on getting a set of the RH's in the spring to replace the Rainier tires our new Jayco came with. Also stepping up to an E rated tire over the D for a little more weight rating "cushion". - midnightsadieExplorer III had them on boats, big boats and never again, but that was ten years back maybe they,ve changed.

Anyone have any experience with Carlile 10 ply tires, ST205/75R14 tires? Discount tire wants us to buy them.
Yea, I put two on my previous TT, a 24' Aerolite and got good service for 2 years before I traded to a 2013 30' Koala. I put 4 new Carlisles on the Koala in 2014 in Flagstaff. Have put miles on them since and no problem. I too got mine at Discount tire. I have had good service from both the tire and Discount Tire from Arizona to North Carolina to Ohio.
