We carry our two electric bikes on the front of our Suburban. Last year, on the way down to Florida in sloppy weather, we put the better bike inside the trailer and were able to find a place that didn't obstruct our movement unnecessarily.
At campgrounds we put the two bikes outside the trailer under a tarp to keep off the dew and rain drops. Never occurred to us that someone might steal them. The batteries are inside the trailer being charged up overnight.
Not sure why anyone would want them. Our bikes are heavier than the standard pedal bike and the batteries are more than $500 if someone would want to make it an electric bike again.
