Sort of a cheap hybrid: ETech I'd guess this doesn't apply to diesels.

I vote "NO" on the belt driven starter/generator... so 1960's lawn tractors...
for years.. "They" have been talking of replacing the 12 volt systems to 36 volts for less copper wire size... guess that is Gone. :)
