Im not trying to start an argument , and its only my opinion, and we all make and these decisions for ourselves , but for me I like to stay inside ratings for tire and axle and have some cushion in those numbers
The way I look at it when your on the scales your sitting there still , just gravity
When your driving and you hit the brakes you unload the rear axle and load the front , the same with trailer tongue and rear axle
Also going uphill , downhill , accelerating, to a lesser extent
I dont know if these transfer of weight is totaly equal , Im not an engineer , just like to feel safe
