I'm the author of this thread, and my greatest concern is that my area where I live which is in the Toledo, Ohio area will not end up
losing Jeep production.
Secondly, my anti-trust violation comment is also important.
GM and Chrysler...........That would create a monopoly or nearly so.
I think Chrysler can go it alone or let Marchionne sell to a smaller automaker or a non-automaker that has a successful record with "start ups".
The Toledo area is hurting as so much heavy industry has vacated this area, but Jeep was their shining light. There was even talk of expansion of the plant utilizing much of its power needs via Methane generation from a nearby ancient landfill.
People are hungry for jobs up here, and Jeep has been one of it's mainstays.
