change a valve?
Anyone change out the valves on your propane tanks from the old ones to the new ones that are required to get them filled? If so how hard of a job was it? I'd like to keep these 7 gallon tanks that ...

A 30# tank is 7 gallons. Larger than your BBQ grill tank.
I've seen the 7 gal ones for $60 but they wanted almost $25 to ship it. Watch the shipping cost also.
I forgot to add, I changed two of the valves. Not an easy job. After the 1st re-certification the next one comes a lot sooner. I think it was like 10-12 yrs the first time and 5 yrs the second time.
gotcha....well on a side note i looked at my valves after doing some research and I do have OPD equipped tanks....wanna know how I know? well they have OPD stamped all over them....i'm an idiot.
You made me laugh on that one. Sounds like something I'd do. Are they still within the 10 year period? If so, fill 'em up and go.
