There is no new ground here. People have been building their own campers a long long time.
Almost any conceivable shape from hut, boat, Canastota wagon or you name it has been done.
All it takes is time, money and desire. If it is what you want there is no wrong answer. All one has to do is get off there duff and do it.
Most of us however would rather cut to the chase and find a floor plan, we can afford and tow.
