Changed the Faucet

We changed out the kitchen sink faucet. We like a single handle hot/cold type and also like a sprayer. The wing nuts that hold the sink down proved to be a challenge for my big hands! Was a PITA, but worth it! :B

Original equipment.

Had to take out the sink to get at connections. :E

Cut off old fittings and installed Sharkbite shutoffs. :)

The finished job. :B

Don't think there was room for that wrench and my big hands! The faucets were right above the gas bottle enclosure and not very accessible. Perseverance paid off!

  • The hide and seek of finding the right fitting is not fun if you live 50 miles from the hardware store!!! Nice job on the install, gotta love those shark bite fittings.
  • It's so much easier to change a faucet nowadays because some/many,all faucets now come with the water lines already attached. No more going to the store to buy various lengths of tubing, installing the right ones to the faucet (B4 installing on the sink, of course to eliminate the need for a Basin Wrench) then taking back what wasn't used.
    It's almost fun!
  • Sweet!!!!

That is one of the things I like about RV's. Upgrades and mods are fun to do (usually!!) and gives you a sense of accomplishment!! :C

Whenever I can't get my hand into something I cal my wife over. But I have to keep reminding her "righty tighty, lefty loosey!!! :B
