Why go through all that anyway. Get a Gear Vendors intermediate 'brownie box' and be done with it. The brownie box allows you to split every gear you have available so if your slush box is a 4 speed OD, you get an 8 speed with intermediate splits.
Bolts right up to your tailshaft housing. All one has to do is shorten the driveshaft a bit.
