Each diif gear ratio step (down or up) has an approx 10% increase or decrease in torque multiplacation
Going from 3.73 to 4.1 will provide approx 10% MORE torque to the axles....going to 4.3 will be a bit less than 20% MORE torque to the axles
Whether more MPG or not...depends on the type of ICE and many other attributes
