changing Front Brake Pads For Towing TT

My BIL owns an auto parts store and a few years ago when we still had our old F150, he recommended ceramic pads and high performance vented rotors and at a could not refuse price so we got them. The braking was much improved. Did about 5K miles of towing a 5K lb TT with the new brakes and had no negatives that I noticed. Ceramic can have issues with heat, brake fade and warping of rotors tho. I think semi-metallic pads would be a better choice than either ceramic or organic-based pads and are a good choice for towing. I'd probably replace the rotors too.
