Has anyone mentioned that on at least two brands of trucks - not Ford, there is no autodisconnect on the wire running to the camper, so the engine battery MAY stay connected to the camper battery all the time. Runs the risk of ending up with a flat starting battery as well as flat house battery.
Blue seas make a bi-directional split charge relay that uses contactors for minimum voltage drop and will allow current flow in either direction provided the source battery is being charged. Not all that much more expensive than a tricklestart unit on its own.
