See my recent thread that I started about a high-amp charge wire and solenoid from the truck. I ran a #8 wire and used a golf cart solenoid and I have no more "dead battery on arrival" issues.
I have 100 watts of solar, too, but with 140+ amp charging system on the truck, there's just no reason to show up anywhere with a dead battery.
