Considering many install solar because it obviates the need for a noisy stinking generator, it is hard to understand why some of the same people would advise against installing some sort of catalytic heater - which is silent, uses NO battery power at all and uses less propane than a normal furnace.
One thing would be the concern of oxygen being burned and byproducts being expelled into the small space of a TC.
With caution, I think this is a good option.
I have personal experience and thoughts of each of these post.
I did not install "solar because it obviates the need for a noisy stinking generator". I have never smelled my generator, and although I hear it I do not consider it noisy. I do agree many are noisy. I installed solar because overall, I think is is more efficient, I was intrigued with solar, I could afford it, and solar gave me bragging rights. If I had to chose one, generator or solar, I would choose the generator. The generator works when the solar does not.
I agree that "is silent, uses NO battery power at all and uses less propane than a normal furnace."
I have no "concern of oxygen being burned and byproducts being expelled into the small space of a TC." I have no more concern than I do using my stove top or oven. Personally, I insist on fresh air in my TC, with or without using propane. I think it is unhealthy to be in a box without fresh air.
I do agree the Wave3 is a good option. If it were as dangerous as some people would have us believe, the manufacture would have been out of business years ago.
