As for the maintenance schedule the transmission needs a fluid and filter change every 20,000 miles! :E From their web-site "Backing up the massive turbo diesel [:R/COLOR] is a specially developed 6-speed automatic transmission by Aisin" and only has a 5/60,000 mile warranty.
The engine oil/filer change every 5,000 miles is NOT a Cummins requirement that would be a Nissan requirement.
But the Aisin 6 speed in the Ram HD has a 12 year 120,000 mile maintenance schedule and 5/100,000 and 5/100,000 power train warranty even my 1500 has the same.
Yep the more you start looking at this thing more more you have to say WTH are they thinking. The funny part is when the Ram Eco-diesel came out all I heard was how much the oil changes were going to cost $135 every 12 months 10,000 miles @ the dealer without a coupon. People went bate/**** crazy. What will be the cost of ownership be on this thing. I mean at least my truck gets 19/23/33 for mileage.
