Jul 13, 2017Get a can of wasp spray that you can shoot from 20 ft away. Get up there a little after dusk since they're a lot more calm then. Once you start spraying, some may start flying away. Chances are you aren't going to get stung by these because they're focused on trying to get away from the spray.
The problem with wasps is once they make a home in a spot, they keep coming back to that exact same spot year after year. Even if you've killed off the previous tenants and removed their nest. So go get some bug or window screen material and line the inside of the shroud with it to keep them out.
