Chemical.....Deodorant

Just curious......I know most of us if not all, put toilet chemical or deodorant in the black tank.
My question is: Does anyone put anything in their grey tank, which would be chemical in a liquid form.

Thanks
Dre

First of all, I don't put anything in my black tank but water. I have never had any odors. As far as the grey tank, I would assume that bath soap and dish soap going in there would keep it odor free. Unless you are putting food scraps down the drain, which I make sure I do not, I can't see anything that would cause a smell. If I have questionable liquids from cooking, I always put them down the toilet.

We have bacon and eggs in the morning, we will rinse our plates over the sink.....We have pasta for dinner, we will rinse our plates over the sink. Not all of that stuff will come out when you empty the tank. Stuff will stick to the grey tank walls and eventually cause a smell.

As for the black tank.......My $%^& smells and putting chemical does help.

We have been driveway camping (at home) for the last 2 weeks, so my tanks are not getting slushed around while on the road right now.

And yea! $%^& stinks! I've got to dump my black tank (today) and flush it (I can do this with my septic tank at home). And I don't use chemicals in it. But if I don't keep it flushed (by back-flushing with the grey water, or using the black tank rinser), when I push the peddle on the toilet .... oh ye! $%^& STINKS coming up that hole! Actually, gonna do it right now before rains come today!

  • Grey tank, bleach every now and then. Add about 5 gallons of water, about 1/2 cup bleach and go for a drive. Drain once home or at the campground, flush to get the bleach out, good to go for another 6 months or more!
  • This in the black tank.

This once a month in the gray tank to de-grease the sides and sensors.

Mrs. Meyer's Clean Day 32 oz.
    Lemon Verbena Multi-Surface Concentrate Cleaner

My sensors work ALL the time.
  • Dihydrogen Monoxide is the ONLY chemical I use in black and grey tanks.

Comes in liquid and solid forms...I only use the liquid cause the solid usually costs more.

Nice thing it is readily available most any where.

RV Waste tanks are 'holding tanks' and when ALL vapor barriers & Vents are functioning properly no smells inside RV.
Outside...don't really care nor do I normally smell any there either

Dihydrogen Monoxide....great chemical ----universal solvent and cheap
    Try it.

X2 BUT I do defecate in my black tank in addition to adding water :)
