Both cab configurations have normal doors.

The extended cab name was dropped, the suicide style doors were replaced with normal doors, the cab was lengthen and the new name is "double cab"

The crew cab was enlarged too.

Stepson is driving a 2015 3500 DRW Double Cab4x4 8 foot box right now. When he brought it home, we talked about why he did not get a Crew Cab. He said GM only had enough pre production Crew Cabs to build a handful of trucks. Those were snapped up by the big shots at the GM tech center.

I am waiting for a test trip but Deb got a short ride yesterday....She thought is was an awesome truck with a very roomy front seating area.
