Simple answer..... NO.
For the most part not yet. As EVs become more common and there are more models available (platform sharing) then they will start to see the profits.

Link please. I think that it's profitable now, but not in the beginning. Keeping in mind that Carlos Ghosn is going to prison and anything he said about the company is suspect at best. What the Leaf did do is boost their CAFE numbers which helps sell cars and boosts overall profit.
