Obviously population rise is the biggest problem, but it's a tough egg to crack.
I liked this part:

"What is the word for a single species that's overrun an entire planet and is causing mayhem in every direction?"
The word is virus. That's what we are.
The bad news is this is irreversible. The good news is it will all be over soon enough, and Earth can continue on it's way without us.
