The only reason "mitigated forever" is nobody wants to pay to clean the hole mess. Going forward, we have learned to make "clean as you go" part of the deal. This means much more of the cost of clean-up is included when the stuff is sold. What would the cost of gasoline be if if pump price included the total cost of the use of the product? How much of the military budget goes to protect our oil under their sand? What percentage of health care is related to burning fossil fuel?
