Looking like Rivian will beat everybody up the half ton market.
The Rivian looks good but there is an awful lot of big talk coming from a company that apparently hasn't built a single production vehicle yet or even expect to for at least another year. A lot of companies have foundered at this stage in their life.
True. Getting suppliers lined up etc. It all costs money. But Ford is involved as well. They are pinning a lot of their future EV involvement on Rivian. I would think they will throw more money at it if they have to.
It will still be interesting to see who makes it to market with a half ton first. I don’t think FCA or GM are even close so it will probably between Rivian/Ford or Tesla. I think Tesla will be concentrating on the model Y and getting their Shanghai factory up to speed so the pickup may slide a bit on the timeline.
Real problem is having EV Pickups being rammed down the public's throats that's the only option
