Chevy intergrated brake

I have got this message a few times. It goes away and usually comes on when no trailer is hooked to the truck. I recall one time is when it was raining and I think that it's caused by water intrusion somewhere. I purchased both parts like u did but have not replaced them yet since the trailer brakes seem to work. I did read some where that a short in the wiring somewhere under the bed of the truck could be the problem. Another poster I read said he found a chaffing and water intrusion. Hopefully others will chime in as well. I'm sure there is a fix out there.
