- jalichtyExplorerI thought GM was putting a 6.2 in the 2014 or 2015 trucks. Is that not the same engine? I'm guessing not by the prior comments.

200 hp with your foot mashed to the floor lugging at 1100 rpm isn't going to seem like a tow beast to the driver. But it wouldn't be bad for sure.
I'm not sure why folk keep referring to wide open throttle as 'just off idle'. It's anything but that.
The Ford 2000 6.8L V10 puts out about 300HP and 400lb ft tq @ 3800 rpm compared to about 450HP @ 3800 rpm and 650lb ft tq @ 3600 rpm for the LT4 6.2L V8.
Look at the chart again. - dodge_guyExplorer IIWhen will it be recalled?!!!

That is an all aluminum engine, not designed for towing, not offered in 2500 or 3500s

Never will be offered.
None of the 6.2 engines are rated HD use. - fla-gypsyExplorerSince no one is towing a large TT/5th wheel with a Corvette I guess it is a moot point.
- nevadanickExplorerMy 5.3 was all aluminum. Nothing wrong with that.
