Now all they being said/asked, if your TT is heavy, you will undoubtedly experience some sway on windy conditions, higher speeds, or when a semi passes because you have a 1/2 ton. Not knocking the 1/2 ton at all (I had one and it towed well), but since they weigh less than bigger trucks, some tail-wagging-the-dog can exist at certain conditions.
Nothing wrong with setup. I don't have a problem with sway & I usually don't even know I'm towing 8,500 lbs. Simply wanted to know if I could quit using Dual Cam & just use Chevy sway control, but as has been mentioned the dual cam will prevent sway as opposed to trying to stop it after it's already started which is what the Chevrolet sway control will do. Looks like I'm sticking with the dual cam cuz I'd rather prevent it than try to catch it.
