A Chinese company is interested in buying Chrysler from Fiat. Not sure it can get any worse for Chrysler quality at this point.
Worse yet, the main division they want is the Jeep group which accounts for something like 38% of their profits. Fiat wanted Chrysler to get a foot back in the door in North America and I guess they're finding out that wasn't going to work.
The blame for this mess I think, belongs on the US Government and their meddling in the financial collapse of Chrysler and GM. Sure, they wanted to try and save the jobs, but how long did that last now that Chrysler is looking at selling out lock, stock and barrel to a Chinese company? Seems to me the Government should have allowed both GM and Chrysler to go thru a bankruptcy and reorganization instead of tossing a bunch of taxpayer dollars down the rat hole trying to save them from themselves. If they couldn't reorganize and come up with a better and profitable way of doing business then they deserved to go the way of the Dodo bird.
Problem is these Chinese investors want the Jeep side of FCA but not the RAM or Chrysler bits
