I thought you were very happy with your brand new truck
What is wrong with your truck that you'd need to "chip" it?
Do you think that if your trucks manufacturer could make your truck better all around by "Chipping" it in the competition with other manufactures building similar trucks... that they would make the alternate chip standard?
I'm sure that your manufacturers engineers try to get the very most out of your truck by balancing the positives and the negatives. One of those is a trouble free long life... another is fuel economy... and there are hundreds of other things that they factor in.
If you look at Nascar Races... the teams wear those cars out in a few hours... they know that they'll either blow up the engine during the race or they will swap engines at the end of the day... used up at 500 miles or so
You probably don't have any friends that have vehicles that would compete with you to.... so why would you feel the need to "Chip"?
Since you shipped your truck from 1/2 a world away is it worth the risk to your warrenty (and "if' you have problems "what now?")
I probably sound negative to many...
