Most people would realise that big 5th Wheeler with a small Japanese pickup, will not work well in the long run. Overheating, lack of power, poor stability and extremely poor fuel economy.
No that is why Jayco annd Sunliner are trying to GROW the market here. I have talked to people who use a Japanese pickup and a lightweight 5Ver, they do not have any of those problems.
The three I know have about 60 in stock at any given time and sell about 30-45 a month, between those three.
What roughly 300 vehicles by your figures for 2.3 million in WA?. That is tiny. 60 vehicles in stock?????? it is supposed to be booming in WA?
US manufacturer Ford is 2015 is producing RHD V8 Mustangs in the US for Australia, UK, Japan
And other RHD markets, said to sell here for around $50-60,000.
They will be a 2.3Litre turboed "Capri" like car. Have hard time competing against Europeans, Japanese Koreans.
If the same occurred with Some US Pickups I'm sure at half their current Australian price, thousands would roll out the door.
They will be built LHD no RHD although they could build them RHD
If I was a landscaper here in Australia, would I buy that Japanese Toyota tray top utility for $67,000
or a decent American pickup, lets say a Ram 4500 or a F450 for the same price or less, and get a much bigger payload & engine, it would be the US pickup, every time.
Landscaping, a Japanese Truck would be cheaper than both options and much more effective.
Robert, vehicles prices in this country, as you know are outrageous, similar vehicles in other countries all for 40-50% less.AGREED!!!!!!!
