Updated thread title to clarify which engine and transmissions are affected.

• 2014-18 Ram 2500 pickup

• 2014-18 Ram 3500 cab chassis

  • Well shoot! I'm already hitched up and ready to start an 800 mile road trip.

edit: so I called my local Fiat dealer, and they haven't heard of this, but the service guy said that's common, updates from Fiat HQ usually take weeks beyond when they're released to the news media.
  • other reports state it will be fixed by a software update/ flash - so no waiting for parts.

shouldn't take long , I hate not having cruise control.

I don't believe you have to wait for the notice. Call your dealer and they can look up your truck + sutstanding recalls by VIN.

  • A bunch of FCA vehicles caught fire and burned up (in 2 incidents) in 2 FCA holding lots in Toledo last week.

According to FCA, they are investigating.

Never made it to dealers, burned up waiting to get shipped. That don't bode well IMO.
