CK-4 oil
Anybody change to this new oil for their tow vehicle. chevman

What you and everyone else are missing is the fact that the diesel oil has been changed to make the government happy. Anti-wear additives, that have been used for years, are now reduced or eliminated. The new oil will cause more wear and companies like Ford have tested and found that many of the new oils are unacceptable.
The latest T6 is one that didn't pass the tests. Also, during the transition, there was some of the CK-4 T6 bottled with only the CJ-4 marking.
Regardless of what brand of diesel engine you have, the oil is now inferior to the previous version and more wear can be expected.
