My Navistar as an example. Door sticker at 18200 is a class 5, but license is 26000, so would assume a class 6 per this article.
Those with SW 25/35 series trucks that have door stickers under 10k, licensed at 10,001 or higher, my two in past were 12k, would count as class 3.

Yes, this is based on registered GVWR and not sticker GVWR so there could be a percentage or two of trucks that are registered in a different class than what is on their sticker.
