Cleaning the underside of the awning

Whats the best cleaning product to use on the underside of the awning? Preferably one that is non-harmful to the awning.
  • We bought our Class A RV used last fall, i imagine the previous owners did not clean it regularly. So I just did mine using a 1 gallon sprayer using the following -
    1.5 parts simple green
    1.5 parts white vinegar
    fill with water.

Spray on both sides use a lite brush action to work it in. Roll it up for 15-30 minutes open it back up and rinse. Repeat if you have heavy spots. Mine is 8 years old and had some ugly stains but they are all gone now and it looks like new.

good luck and yes you will get wet.

    X2 Dawn and Bleach
  • I think there is a Beast Wash demo on how he suggests it be done. Seems easy enough his way.
