I think "newbies" are often more conscious than seasoned-experienced RVers. Far to often (and I'm just as guilty as the next person), we think we are such experts and know-it-alls that we have an attitude of "I'm invincible!

Fact be told, none of us are invincible! None of us are beyond the possibility of a deadly accident in the flash of a second! None of us have control over the other driver. And even seasoned drivers can get a false sense of security because of longevity of time where we've traveled incident free. But the reality is, all we can do is, do our best, do our best to drive defensively, and don't get so cocky we think the rules of the road don't apply to us, or we are above the law, or above the posted warning signs, speed limit signs, and hazard signs, stop lights, stop signs, and sometimes, even when we do have the right-of-way, we HAVE to give it up!

None should ever get so cocky to think they have such experience, it can never happen to them.

Every time I pull out of my drive way, I take a quick second and pray for a safe trip. When I get home, before getting out of the truck, I always say a short prayer again giving thanks for a safe and incident free trip, because I know, a loaded gun in the hands of a bank robber is probably a safer situation than driving on ANY road anywhere!
