cut out all of your short runs. those engines need to work... that means get it warm and use it... they are not grocery chasers. 5-10 miles doesn't really get them warm, 40-60 miles per trip will keep them clean...and no road hunting... prolonged slow speed driving looking for wild life will plug them up...
when my egr service was due. the service department pulled it apart and put it back together. told me to keep doing what i was doing, as the system didn't need cleaning...
ps: i did use bio-diesel when ever it was handy...
i sold the truck as i didn't need it any more. down sizing trailer and tow vehicle.
