Powermax is actually a very good converter. I would replace with same. But verify the voltage before you plug in again.
The Powermax is a brand name of a converter. The converter changes (converts) the 120vac utility power to nominal 12vdc battery power. This 12vdc charges the battery and runs all the 12v systems in the trailer including lights, fridge controls, air conditioner controls, gas water heat controls, furnace, water pump, radio, propane detector and various other things. No 12vdc power and the trailer is about unusable. Although with a charged battery in good shape the 12v stuff will run until you use up the battery. The Powermax converter supplies continuous 12vdc when plugged into 120 volts.
