Coachman Cadet 19 1/2' 1976, 77 or 78

Bought a late 70's Coachman Cadet, not sure of what year yet, waiting for PO to find the title. Cannot find the VIN/SN on the tongue. Here are the 1st photos:

There are at least 4 large soft spots in the floor due to age, 1 broken window and the skylight dome broken.
Plans are to completely gut it, replace the floor, walls and ceiling. Hopefully there is not much damage to the framing of the walls and ceiling. Will keep you updated!
  • Mark Polk of RV101 did a series of vids on how he and his son rebuilt an old Yellowstone trailer. It is a fun and educational look at what goes into a total rebuild. Worth watching.
  • I hope you are planning to gut and rebuild. Otherwise, gut and turn it into a storage shed.
  • if the vehicle frame isn't rotten that will make a fine utility trailer once you get the rotten camper off and build a box. is that seriously the best "fixer upper" you could find? I saved an old beast and its rough and I can appreciate being ok with something that is not pristine anymore (look at my sig) but that thing is gone IMO
  • Make sure you keep that pink roll of toilet paper. :) That's classic.
  • From the look of that ceiling, you are going to be building a whole new trailer.

For a VIN, look at the frame rails in the front, especially on the inside of the frame. Paint may be covering the number.
