For whatever it's worth... LOL. Coachmen was on our short list of candidates while we did our research. In my case we were looking at the Catalina Deluxe Edition lineup compared to Starcraft Autumn Ridge and Jayco Jay flight.
In the end I went with Starcraft - but - not really because I found the other two lacking somehow. I thought the build quality of the Coachmen's units were at least on par with the other two units I was looking at. It boiled down to features for price and the floor-plan we wanted in the end. My Starcraft offered more tank capacity than Coachman, but less than Jayco... It also offered four bunks in the BH and still had a outside kitchen space where Jayco and Coachman only had three - albeit with a larger outside kitchen space.
I would not discourage you from going Coachmen if they have the camper you want. But I would encourage you to look around if you haven't already.
And, again, all of that is my humble opinion. Happy hunting!
