Coax connections

Long time lurker first time posting. I have a 2015 KZ Sportsmen 314BH, at the rear there are two coax connections, one above the other. Other than trial and error which would be for a cable TV connection.

  • Thanks for the replies. I guess i'll just have to trial and error on it since neither is labeled. Had a 2010 Sportsmen 272bh almost 6yrs, but had to upgrade to a slide for more room (2 growing boys). It only had one connection on the rear, so no guess work there.
  • Congrats on the new KZ

We have a 2014 KZ and the cable and sat connections should have been labeled. On our model the one on the left is cable. Both are wired and work.
  • My camper has two connections also. One for the antenna, one for Satellite. Take the cover plate off and check to see if you have two coax wires. Mine does not. Just the coax to the antenna. I think the manufacturers use the one type of plate for all of their campers. Pretty dumb if you ask me. How hard is it to run 2 coax cables when building the camper so the eventual owner doesn't have to fuss with it if they choose to add satellite. What would be the additional cost for them? $10 maybe????
  • You just have to try hooking the cable up, and checking the TV. Mine happens to be top cable, bottom satellite, but yours may not be the same.

Do you have a satellite connection inside? If so then the cable one is the one that you get a signal for when hooked up to cable and have the antenna/cable switch set to receive cable.

  • Not sure if this is some kind of trick question, lol!
Maybe the answer is BOTH? One for cable in, one for cable out?
