Since you are in the "middle of nowhere" you might want to take along a small generator and battery charger if you have them. You could plug in an engine block heater and charge the batteries if things don't go well. Like a spare tire, you really don't need it..... till you do.
While on the subject, block heaters are not just about getting an engine started, it is much better for the engine if it is warmed a bit.
