We're camping for New Year's and my new TT has an on-board water filter, housed in a outside storage compartment, along with the water pump and HW heater. Is this filter in danger of freezing if the temps are mid-40s over upper 20s?
My RV has the same setup as yours. We have camped in temperatures just below freezing for a few hours so far and there was no problem. I typically disconnect the FW hose when I know it is expected to be lower than freezing overnight and use the on board FW tank.
As others have suggested you will want to consider heating that storage compartment. I have a small electric heater that l intend to use on its lowest setting but the (quiet) light bulb solution also is a good one, especially since the compartment is just below my bed. Going camping when the weather is in the 20's might be a tall order, though.
