Cold tire pressure question?

Thanks again for all the great info. I got home from work this AM filled all tires to 50psi and just now when i woke up checked them again and all are holding @50psi.
I will keep close watch on the lowest one(38) and i did look it over as well and all seems to be ok, no visible signs of a nail or damage.

I do believe it still applies, the one I have on file was dated on 9JAN2014.

Yes, but that doesn't apply to any LT or ST tires that I have seen only medium and heavy duty tires.

It also doesn't mean you can go faster than the tire limit with more air, they are 2 separate ratings.

AFIK the Marathon is the only tire with a publish bulletin to exceed the speed rating and sidewall pressure for speed.

I wont have time to have them nitro filled before we leave this weekend so regular air is gonna have to do, but what pressure should these guys read in mid-day heat?

Thanks. I'm always trying to make things as convenient as possible and I share when appropriate. I have one tire that leaks about 5 pounds in a month. I have had it off and examined it thoroughly. Have used soapy water, nothing. I recently made a 900 mile trip over a week and never had to put air in it. So, I'll just keep checking it each day while camping and add air if necessary.

50 psi now and recheck in the morning.
Keep a close watch on that right front.

I am not second guessing the trailer manufacturer when they put a sticker on my trailer that says 50# just as I'm not second guessing my truck manufacturer when the sticker says 40#.

No problem not filling with Nitrogen, all gasses can be mixed, and the advantage is not that big.
Miths about it are that tires stay cooler and pressure rises less for temperature rising in tire. these 2 are sertainly not true.

Even al little liquid water could keep the tires rubber cooler because of the energy that is needed to go from liquid to gas. and disadvantages of oxidation of rimm are nihil.

Whatever the new ideas of tire maker are , Many tire makers allow extra pressure above that reference pressure for more load at lower speed.

Michelin has a special tire for campers with 5.5 bar/ 80 psi maximum pressure . The reference presssure though is yust as the Agillis 81
4.8 bar/70 psi and that is the pressure the maximum load is calculated for.
So also 10 psi higher not even for lower speed but to cover peakloads they wrote me.

Tireman9 yust recently had contact with goodyear about the new rules.
He probably will react with the exact differences between now and before, but I mean to remember they did not allow 87m/h anymore when 10 psi extra and loadreduction of 10%, but still the 10 psi for 75m/h.

And even if some tiremakers dont allow it anymore , I would rather risk their reprimande then damaging the tire, if that 10 psi is realy needed.
