We are from South Florida currently camping in Ontario! It's COLD! Some of you might not think so but this is my post and I say it's cold! It's 45 degrees outside but they use the metric system here so its much colder!!!So my questions:1-I have electric heat which is working quite well but I keep reading posts about furnaces and burning propane. Do all campers have that? Do I have that? I can't find it if I do.2-What do I do about the condensation on the Windows?3-For faster recovery time for the hot water should I use electric of propane?4-How do I get the puppy out of our bed? Normally she sleeps in her own bed but with the cold she is jumping up on our bed and snuggling under the covers.5-How do I get my wife out of our bed? Normally she is up and at em but now she is lieing beside me refusing to get up.6-How long can I go without taking a shower before my wife divorces me? She says I must shower every day but there's gotta be some wiggle room when it's this cold!!!

1. The specs say you have a forced air furnace with ducted in-floor heating. Are your propane bottles open? Have you checked your thermostat? From the limited pictures I can find of your unit, it looks like the thermostat might be by your TV. It looks similar to mine. Switch it via the bottom button until the green light is on heat, then adjust the temperature up.2. Condensation will eventually go away if you have the blinds open, but you can wipe it off with a towel if it bugs you. We actually use our shower squeegee to remove it.3. I have a tankless, so I can't answer that for you.4. Your dog is smart.5. DD and DW don't get out of bed until I crank the thermostat up. See 1.6. That's why I have a tankless water heater.Good luck!

Answer to all questions;Point that thing south and straight on until you see the "Welcome to Florida" sign. What in the world are you doing up there? That's like our northern neighbors trying to come down here in Aug/Sept. They would melt into a puddle of water. Come home!

Yes, you should have a furnace. Leave the dog in your bed, they give off a lot of heat, when snuggled up against you. To get your wife up, tell her that her phone is ringing. A woman can't help running to answer a phone, just their nature.The water heater recovers faster when using both electric and gas.Your furnace heats with gas, but requires some electric power to operate fan.Good luck,Jerry

Was living in Phoenix and just about to pull up my roots and move to CO. It was October and I was standing outside in shorts and a t-shirt watching an intense lightning storm off in the distance. There was a bit of wind and I realized I was standing there shivering. It was 70f! At that point I said to myself, this is nuts, it's 70f and I am shivering. I stopped shivering.

That's what I was thinking.

Anything above 35-40 degrees F is fine with me. (As long as the snow is plowed off of the roads )

I am just a weekend camper. I have never had any problem with condensation on a weekend trip .

Condensation is caused by the warm humid air contacting the cold windows. condensation also happens inside the TT walls. It happens slower because of the insulation, but the moisture will migrate thru the walls to the cold outer skin. There it will condense and over time cause what is known as delamination.
It happens out of sight so the only way one can know when it is happening is to watch for it on the windows. When it happens,,, take action.... IMMEADIATLY!! Open some windows and vents to let the moisture out..
Many of us run a dehumidifier to prevent it...

And don't bother squeeging it off the windows or wiping them off. That does nothing to prevent the damage that is occurring inside the walls.
Use your windows as a warning sign for when the conditions are too humid.

As Dave stated 50 degree weather is perfect and keeps the crowds down.

Very funny and informative. Got the propane tanks filled! That was a close one. Hot water works great with elec and propane. DW gave me a really good reason to shower!!!!! The dog jumped out of the bed and is hiding under the couch. Life is good!!!!!!!!!

1, Does your propane stove top work? If so just put the thermostat up another 10C

2, Ignore it. Put a coat on and go outside if you want to see something.

3, use both.

4, get a 12v heating pad for the puppy bed.

5, turn the heat up ;)

6, at least hit the essentials with a wash cloth.

And yes anything below about 50F is technically freezing :)

Cold?!! :h This is perfect camping weather, just crisp enough in the evening for a good campfire. We'll be at The Pinery this weekend and the current forecast is for rain both Fri and Sat, high on Sat during the day around 50F and just a few degrees above freezing on Sat night ... perfect! :B

The Canadians use Celsius for their temps, 40 degrees C is over 100 degrees F.

We use a small ceramic heater to keep the TT warm at night (Mid- 50's) then turn on the furnace to heat things up in the morning for a few minutes. The furnace sucks a lot of propane.
