Colorado Springs to Black Canyon of the Gunnison
Does anyone have advice on the best route from Colorado Springs to the Black Canyon NP? Towing a 26' TT with a Silverado 2500.

I base route selections based on beauty of the scenery. Knocking 10 or 15 mph off my speed just doesnt concern me. I also frequently pull over to let others pass.
Assuming you’re asking about the least “scary” way for an inexperienced or afraid of heights driver.
If you’re askeered of the mountains I’d suggest camping in Kansas.

Theres 2 obvious ways from the Springs.
25 down to 50, and straight over. Or 24 to 285 down to 50 and over.
Gotta go over Monarch either way or make a 2 day drive out of it and go twice as far to go over other passes.Monarch Pass…beautiful.
