The OP has to check his tires. My F150 has Hankook P-rated tires that have a max of 55 PSI. Ford says 35 but I bump them up to 50 when towing.
I agree...not all P rated tires are created equally...
My 97 had P-XL's that gave me nearly 5,200 lbs of tire capacity on the rear axle once aired up to Max PSI...more than enough for my little trailer. Never had any issues with the P rates tired once aired up to Max PSI.
