The only thing I know for sure is that I drove by the auto mall and looked at their service areas. Ford and Chevy were about equal and Dodge was smaller. All were full of trucks being repaired.
'nuff said about whose best.
Thank god for a scientific test. I think Consumer Reports, Edmunds and everyone else who tracks vehicle reliability has been doing it all wrong. All they have to do is cruise by the shop at the end of the street. Wow, have they all been wasting time.
Let's see... Mark Twain said "There are three kinds of lies...lies, damn lies and statistics".
I think Consumer Reports uses STATISTICS! - MARK_VANDERBENTExplorerTime will tell on the 6.7. Need to see some high mile ones out of warrenty to see what owners are saying. Easy to love them now when issues are covered. I hope time and miles are good for the 6.7 ford, because they need a diesel they can keep around for longer than 3-4 years before they role into a whole other engine.
- drillkingExplorerI almost gave up on a life long affair with Ford because of the 6.0's and 6.4's. I stayed the course and out came the 6.7's. Very pleased with the in house engines. Running 8 of them now plus my personal TV. Only wish Ford would have stayed with the name "Scorpion" instead of keeping "Powerstroke"!
- MARK_VANDERBENTExplorerSeems the fords need more major repairs than any other. Diesels that is. My boss wont buy another ford diesel, been burned by the 6.0 bad !! and keeps dumping money into them. Seeing lots of chevy and gmc work trucks around here
- TomG2ExplorerObserving the local repair shops, it is apparent that some brands are worth fixing, while others go straight to the junk yard.

x2
Each day on the way to work I drive by a garage that services all makes & I never see Chrysler LeBarons in there being worked on.
Chrysler LeBarons must be ultra reliable. - mtofell1Explorer

I failed to see where the Chevy was overall better than the rest. I was clearly a subjective opinion.
Plus the looks are just looks and one doesn't look better than the other brands.
chevman - TomG2ExplorerThe Chevy guys are just having fun. I know I am. Don't take it so seriously. Last year it was Brand X and the year before, Brand Y. Next year, we will hear from another. It's called advertising and marketing, or more accurately, "Fun and Games".
