- B_O__PlentyExplorer III spent many years at a GM and Jeep dealer. Back in the 80s the Jeep Grand Cherokee made me a lot of money in the service dept. Back then, I wouldn't take one for free. The GMs were reasonably good. Now 25 years later...I drive a Dodge Ram and won't let the GMs park in my driveway (oil leaks). Don't get married to one brand, sooner or later you will get burned. You'll notice all dealers have repair shops, parts departments and repair technicians...None of them are perfect.

On Edit....he does own a 2113 Caddy though and gets one every two years.
My mother retired from a GM/Chrysler dealer. She handled warranty claims for both mfg's for ~40 years.
I can say my parents had one Chrysler product a '96 Grand Cherokee and that was the end of anymore Chrysler products to say in a manner to keep it civil.
Lets keep it civil but please tell me the issues the GC has a very high rating from KBB and other rating companies. Have to say if she had issues and worked for a dealer and couldn't get it fixed, then maybe she should have found a better dealer to work on it Troy. Like Ford's dealers there are good ones and bad ones.

He really needs to go check out the new GMCs. the only word to describe their quiet ride and performance is ...."WOW".
He sold the fiver some time ago so the truck only sees maybe 3000 miles a year. At 85 I don't think he will be getting a new truck.

The end of the turn signal switch should have been placed 1"-1 1/2" closer to the steering wheel. No other complaints. Don
The horror of it all!!!!
I would insist on:
A new truck
Refund of all the money I ever spent on fuel
A personal apology from the factory
I'm sorry, figured I would jump on that since I work at the plant that make the steering columns. :o
An opportunity to whip the person that installed it.
If the new truck has the same problem then I want a personal chauffeur at no extra charge.
Where do you live and when do you need picked up? :B
I have been wronged with this situation, and I insist on some compensation !! :B:B:B - cummins2014Explorer

!989 Jeep Cherokee bought new, just over 25 years old, handed it down to our grandson 6 years ago, after 3 years he handed it down to his sister , been thru two teenage drivers still going strong with over 200K on it . Never had the heads off it. Ya a real POS , I will stick with Chrysler. - tomman58Explorer

Uh Oh! If you're towing a trailer that probably won't work! - Cummins12V98Explorer IIIMy only REAL complaint is the POS General tires that came on my Dually. 25K off they went on with a set of Michelin MS2's.
- MvanderExplorerHa! Signals......Ford should have left well enough alone with their crazy stalk thats always in the middle position. Not sure if the other brands do this but it makes you wonder what the heck was wrong with how signal stalks have worked for the past 80yrs.
